Signal Brands Australia manages the global licenses for Rag & Bone and Guess across wholesale, eCommerce, and our own brick-and-mortar retail stores in Australia and New Zealand. This role is your chance to blend your passion for fashion with your exceptional communication skills, creating outstanding customer journeys across all our retail channels.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing the Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for the creation, adaptation and preparation of all artwork files required to support the delivery of the seasonal marketing plans for retail, wholesale and website for all brands. This role involves working closely and collaboratively with various departments to ensure that all branding execution aligns with the brand's objectives.
This role is a 1 - 2 month fixed term contract looking to commence February 2026.Great opportunity for a freelancer looking to expand their portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Concept Development: Create and develop visual concepts for various projects, including branding, advertising, electronic email, and digital media in alignment with brand guidelines
- Design Execution: Produce high-quality designs across multiple platforms, ensuring they align with the business and brand needs. Prepare all print-ready artwork files to be dispatched to media partners and suppliers accurately and within agreed timeframes
- Project Management: Oversee and manage multiple design projects from conception to completion, managing timelines and budgets effectively
- Collaboration: Work closely and develop strong relationships with other departments and key stakeholders to understand their graphic and design needs
- Trend Analysis: Stay informed on industry trends, design software, and best practices to ensure innovative and relevant design solutions
- Brand Custodian: Help establish and maintain brand identity across all brands, ensuring consistency across all design materials and platforms
- Technical Skills: Utilise design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro and After Effects) to create graphics, layouts, and other visual content.
- Time Management - Action all creative briefs for corporate or ad hoc design issued by internal departments and other business functions and deliver them in a timely manner.
- Degree qualification in Graphic Design
- Exceptional communication, listening and interpersonal skills
- Possess strong attention to detail and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and contribute to an environment promoting success
- A strong work ethic and are solution-focused
- The ability to be flexible and adaptable in line with the business needs
- A belief in exceptional customer service, ensuring our customers are the central consideration of all decisions, processes and procedures
- A minimum of 5 year's experience in a similar role working with traditional media and digital
- Production experience and sound copywriting skills are highly desirable
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud Apps, namely Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Proficiency in HTML coding and experience with third-party email software highly desirable
- Working with POS/signage & large scale printing and installers
- Packaging design
