About Rosehill College

Rosehill College is a Sydney-based Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivering high-quality vocational education to both domestic and international students. We are expanding into Construction and Trades qualifications, beginning with Wall and Floor Tiling and Electrotechnology programs.

We are seeking an experienced Trades Course Coordinator (Contractor) to provide academic and industry oversight to support program development, ASQA compliance, and quality assurance.


The Role

This is a flexible contractor position suited to a qualified trades professional or vocational education consultant.

You will collaborate with the Academic Manager to ensure that all trades programs meet ASQA requirements and align with current industry standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide industry and academic oversight for trades qualifications (e.g. Tiling, Electrotechnology).
  • Review and approve Training and Assessment Strategies (TAS), learning and assessment materials.
  • Ensure compliance with ASQA Standards for RTOs (Clauses 1.13–1.16).
  • Support and mentor trainers/assessors to maintain competency and industry currency.
  • Participate in validation and moderation of assessments.
  • Provide expert advice for ASQA registration and audits.

Requirements
  • Relevant trade qualification (e.g. CPC31320 Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling or UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology).
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years of recent industry experience in the relevant trade area.
  • Solid understanding of ASQA compliance and vocational training frameworks.
  • Proven experience in TAS review, course coordination, or assessment validation.
  • Must hold an ABN and be eligible to work as an independent contractor in Australia.

  • Engagement: Independent Contractor
  • Rate: $80 per hour
  • Hours: Approx. 1–2 days per week, flexible scheduling
  • Mode: Hybrid / Remote (occasional campus visits if required)
