Accountant – Persian & English Speaking

Location: Balwyn, VIC (moving to a new Kew office soon)

About Us

Bon Conseil Accounting is a premier CPA firm providing high-level accounting, taxation, and advisory services to a diverse client base, with a strong presence in the Persian community. We are experiencing rapid growth, which has created this new opportunity, and we'll soon relocate to a state-of-the-art office in Kew to support our expanding team and client base.

Key Responsibilities


• Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and BAS/IAS for individuals, companies, trusts, and SMSFs.


• Provide expert taxation and accounting advice to clients across a variety of industries.


• Manage a portfolio of clients, maintaining strong and professional relationships.


• Supervise and mentor junior and intermediate staff members.


• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and deadlines.


• Review work papers and ensure accuracy and quality of all outputs.


• Assist with workflow planning and the continuous improvement of internal systems and procedures.


• Work extensively with Xero Tax and Xero Practice Manager to manage client work, track jobs, and maintain practice-wide efficiency.


• Liaise with the ATO and ASIC for registrations, compliance, and client matters.


• Handle complex tax areas including Division 7A, Capital Gains Tax, and FBT.

Qualifications & Skills


• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or equivalent).


• CPA/CA qualified or working towards completion (preferred).


• Minimum 3 years' experience in a public accounting practice.


• Proven experience with Xero Tax, Xero Practice Manager, and proficiency in Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks.


• Strong understanding of ASIC and ATO processes and regulatory requirements.


• Ability to work autonomously and lead a small team effectively.


• Excellent communication skills in both Persian and English, with a strong focus on client service.
