This role is responsible for timely and detailed accounts payable processing to meet regulatory compliance and good supplier relations.


Our client Hamlan Homes is an established family business that has been operating in Geelong for almost 41 years. They are experiencing sustained growth, have established supply relationships, and have a stable and down-to-earth, yet professional team culture. They currently have a full-time onsite opportunity for a Geelong-based experienced Accounts Payable professional capable of working in a high-volume environment to join the small agile Accounts team. Reporting to the CFO you will have:

  • Ability to ensure appropriate, timely and detailed accounts payable processing ensuring regulatory compliance and good supplier relations
  • Relevant administrative support and customer service skills to support the operational functionality of Hamlan Homes, as required

What you will do:

Your role will be very diverse with accounts focus supporting supplier and stakeholder experience. Duties will involve all tasks required to assist in satisfying customers, suppliers, and regulators.

This role is responsible for:

  • All aspects of high-volume accounts payable
  • Identifying & resolving account discrepancies
  • All associated purchase order and invoice data entry
  • Record keeping using spreadsheets and reconciling AP transactions
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Setting up new creditors in system and gathering insurance information
  • Ensuring all Work Cover and Insurances are up to date
  • Communicating and interacting with internal and external customers
  • General office administrative duties as required

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a solid accounts payable background with professional and flexible administrative skills
  • Ideally be familiar with construction or related industry
  • Possess advanced Computer skills and a passion for accuracy
  • Proficient using technology and database software (experience using ClickHome, Xero, Constructor Software would be ideal and highly regarded)
