The Opportunity

We're looking for an organised and proactive Administration & Communications Coordinator to join our team at BlueScope Western Port. This is a key support role, providing high-quality administrative and communications assistance to the Manager Western Port, the Asset Manager, and the wider Western Port Management Team (WPMT).

In this role, you'll be at the heart of site operations—keeping calendars on track, facilitating meetings, supporting events, coordinating communications, and ensuring smooth day-to-day administration. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while delivering accurate, timely and professional outcomes.

What Will You Do?

This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact across our site, supporting our people, operations, and community initiatives.  You'll:

  • Provide professional administrative and communications support to leadership and the WPMT
  • Manage scheduling, calendars, shift rosters, and meeting coordination to ensure smooth operations
  • Prepare and distribute meeting minutes, track actions, and support compliance documentation
  • Coordinate and deliver internal and external events, workshops, and town halls
  • Oversee property management, recreation centre bookings, and reward & recognition programs
  • Support site-wide communications through intranet, website, and social media updates
  • Administer reporting, invoicing, purchasing, and vendor management in SAP
  • Manage donations and sponsorships in line with BlueScope's Bond and community values
  • Provide general administrative support, including filing, archiving, and project support

  • experience coordinating meetings, events, and communications in a professional environment
  • confidence with technology, including Microsoft Office, intranet/social platforms, and SAP (or similar systems)
  • a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work across teams and build positive stakeholder relationships
  • a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
