We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our Fuels & Energy East Team. Based in Brisbane, Southbank and reporting to the Project Lead , this role is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of sustaining and minor capital project works as well as the broader line of business as required.
About the Role

Establish & maintain strong, successful working relationships with our clients across all levels
-
Prepare and administer project budgets for the successful financial management of project cash flow requirements

Understand required project outcome for both UGL and our client in terms of safety, client outcomes, budget, and time
-
Understand and interpret contract documents
-
Select, procure, and manage subcontractors and subcontractor agreements, and manage progress and variation claims
-
Identify and pursue opportunities for improvement in the delivery process
-
Ensure compliance with all UGL HSSE policies and procedures as well as any relevant legislative requirements
About You
-
Relevant Engineering Tertiary qualifications (Preference: Electrical / Control System Engineering).

Minimum 5 years project delivery experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Power Generation industry, Waste Water or Water sectors.

Project portfolio delivery experience in a brownfields Oil & Gas multidisciplinary capacity preferable.

Highly developed interpersonal, relationship management and conflict resolution skills, supporting your ability to effectively liaise, consult and influence a wide range of stakeholders.

Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels internally and externally.

Methodical and demonstrated ability to work independently, with discretion, to organise and prioritise demands, and handle complex tasks simultaneously, within a fast-paced environment.
