Group Fitness Instructor

Viva Leisure parent company to hiit republic one of Australia's leading fitness companies are looking for new Group Fitness Instructors to join our studios on a casual basis in Tuggeranong and Erindale Our mission is to connect health and fitness to as many people as possible and we aim to provide our members with affordable, accessible and awesome facilities.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality group fitness classes that inspire and engage our members. In addition to delivering dynamic and safe classes, instructors are expected to actively contribute to increasing class participation.

As a Group Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for leading scheduled classes at designated facilities. Reporting to the Studio Leader, you will ensure each session is safe, energetic, and enjoyable, helping members achieve their fitness goals in a supportive environment.

We redefine group training, through a fusion of hiit, strength and conditioning training principles, and help everyone unleash their inner athlete.

This is a casual vacancy with 5-8 classes per week.

We are looking for someone with:

• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Working with Vulnerable People Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Fitness Registration (mandatory in the ACT)
• Certificate III in Fitness or Group Exercise Leader (GEL) Certification
• Strong knowledge and passion for the fitness industry
• Understanding of fitness training methods, exercise principles, and relevant technologies
• Skilled in applying first aid procedures
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and promote safety procedures
• Experience in sales and customer service, ideally within the fitness or retail sectors
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse members
• Compassionate, organised, and capable of guiding members in a safe and friendly environment
• Excellent multitasking abilities to manage member interactions and class delivery effectively
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-equipped facility

• Deliver high-quality group fitness classes with professionalism, including setup, pack down, and safe use of equipment.
• Role model Viva Leisure values and uphold high standards of behaviour and conduct.
• Motivate and support members, ensuring correct technique and fostering strong member relationships to encourage retention and growth.
• Collaborate effectively with club staff and the broader Viva Leisure team.
• Maintain compliance with Work Health & Safety policies, reporting hazards and incidents promptly.
• Stay current with certifications and adhere to all relevant fitness industry standards and facility procedures.
• Promote gym services and assist members with enquiries, escalating issues to the Club Leader when necessary.
