About your new role
Are you passionate about research, planning, and improving processes that support city development? Join our dedicated Contributed Assets team as a Research Technical Officer and play a key role in shaping the future of our city's infrastructure and planning systems.
Responsibilities Include:
- Support City Plan updates and policy reviews with high-quality research and technical content.
- Respond to complex customer and Councillor enquiries relating to OPW, Plan Sealing, As Constructed Data, and Water & Waste.
- Provide technical advice to internal and external stakeholders, aligning with legislative and policy frameworks.
- Identify performance gaps and process inefficiencies, and contribute to business improvement initiatives.
- Conduct research for complex and special projects.
- Prepare reports and provide technical advice to stakeholders.
- Assess and coordinate application data relating to development and infrastructure.
- Investigate and recommend solutions to improve internal and external workflows.
- Support change management and process updates.
We're looking for people who have:
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Knowledge or experience in planning, infrastructure, or local government processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- A proactive mindset and passion for continuous improvement.
- Bachelor Degree Urban Development/Town Planning or equivalent experience.
- Diploma Local Government (Planning) or equivalent experience.
