Project Engineer

Job Summary

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering brownfields and sustaining capital projects across major mining clients. You will be involved from concept design through to detailed design and construction support, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and constructability.

What you'll do:

  • Assist with civil engineering assessments for various infrastructure projects.
  • Design internal solutions for components such as earthworks, drainage systems, detention basins, sediment ponds, sewerage, water supply, and access roads.
  • Proven track record in delivering small-to-medium-sized brownfields or sustaining capital projects.
  • Manage and coordinate civil design efforts from both in-house teams and external consultants.
  • Perform evaluations of infrastructure needs, feasibility studies, and risk analyses.
  • Develop technical documentation, including Basis of Design reports, specifications, design reports, and bills of quantities.
  • Critically assess consultant deliverables to enhance cost-effectiveness and project timelines.
  • Support the development of project options and risk reduction strategies.

What you'll need to have:

  • Holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 8 years of experience in civil design for brownfields and sustaining capital projects delivering infrastructure projects.
  • Background in large-scale developments involving roads, drainage, earthworks, sewerage, and water systems.
  • Preferably skilled in stormwater modelling and familiar with tools such as TUFLOW, DRAINS, 12D, AutoTURN/Vehicle Tracking, and QGIS.
  • Strong technical writing capabilities.
  • Proven ability to manage designs from concept through to construction.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and adept at engaging with stakeholders.
