Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and greet patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner.
  • Handle a high volume of phone calls, enquiries, and appointment scheduling with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Utilize HICAPS (Health Industry Claims and Payments Service) to process health insurance claims swiftly and accurately.
  • Assist patients with Medicare rebate applications, ensuring compliance with all necessary procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using electronic systems.
  • Collaborate closely with the medical team to optimize patient flow and facilitate effective communication.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents.
  • Respond to email and online inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Address patient concerns and complaints, escalating them when required.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, tidy, and presents a professional image at all times.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years' experience as a receptionist, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Strong organizational skills, able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional and friendly demeanor with the ability to create a positive first impression.
