We are seeking a Procurement Manager at Parratech to play a crucial role in the company's procurement process and supply chain activities. Responsibilities include sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. Collaborate closely with other departments to align procurement strategies with the organisation's goals. Supervise a team of procurement officers to ensure all necessary goods and services are available for a successful start to manufacturing operations or construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement and supply chain strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best value in terms of cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Forecast demand and plan inventory to minimise stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Oversee logistics, warehousing, and distribution processes to ensure timely delivery.
  • Analyse supply chain data and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Manage the full procurement process from requisition to purchase order creation, ensuring that all materials and supplies meet company specifications and are delivered on time
  • Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate contracts and pricing terms.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as production, finance, and operations, to align procurement activities with business needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and vendor information.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), cost savings, and supply chain performance.
  • Handle materials supply and stock issues and liaise with Production regarding any delays
  • Supervise and mentor procurement staff, ensuring team members are adequately trained and motivated.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement and/or supply chain management, preferably within [construction or manufacturing].
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP or supply chain management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
