UGL industrial and resource division are seeking a supervisor to join our maintenance team for site-based work in Kooragang, Newcastle NSW.

ROLE OVERVIEW
The role will be responsible for delivering high quality project services to the client and provide supervision and coordination as directed by the Project Manager and the client.
Obtain and complete understanding of the required contractual KPI's and obligations.
Ensure safe and effective operations of the project through sound communication, promotion of Safety and Quality Assurance, technical assistance and sound business practices. Team building and performance monitoring of blue-collar resources on-site.
KET RESPONSIBILITES
- Monitor and effectively ensure high level performance during and after project completion
- Schedule upcoming resources and tolling requirements
- Ensuring the execution of jobs meet the standard and expectation of the Project Manager and the client, within scheduled time constraints
- Liaison with site contacts and project personal
- Maintain detailed daily diaries
- Ensure that procedures are followed, appropriate for the job so the standard of workmanship is complaint with the specifications, that specified inspections and tests are conducted and records maintained to substantiate conformance
- Develop and have input into work packs development and inspection plans
- Complete all documents relevant work packs Inspections test Plans, traceability requirements
- Liase with content experts, colleagues (supervisor, superintendent, engineers, managers)
- Assist superintendent to ensure site has sufficient specific trades by making recommendation and selection of new specific task
- Ensure continuous improvement projects and implemented on time
- Undertake all responsibilities in a safe manner, positively support and lead the right safety culture
- Ensure contractors / suppliers are sourced assessed employed, managed and supervised in accordance with UGL's HSSE and procurements
QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant Trade Certificate
- Driver's License
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Min 5 years' experience in trade
- Min 2 years supervisory experience
- A sound understanding and knowledge of construction, maintenance and shutdown principles, procedures and requirements in multi discipline contracting environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong decision making, negotiating and influencing skills
- Ability to prioritise, plans, organise and complete work within established deadlines
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to liase with people all al levels in an informative and positive manner
- Computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products in particular Word, Excel and Outlook
