Building Manager – Live Onsite

We are seeking a hands-on and reliable part-time building manager to assist with the day-to-day operation of a residential complex in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. This is a live-in role, with a salary package including wages plus discounted onsite accommodation.

What you'll do

  • Maintain gardening and lawns
  • Carry out minor repairs and maintenance on common property
  • Check the pool and spa regularly
  • Monitor and report building issues, and arrange contractors as needed
  • Request quotes for external trade work, and coordinate approved external trade work
  • Liaise with the Body Corporate Committee on routine operational matters (the Manager remains the primary contact for all significant issues)
  • Greet residents and assist with simple enquiries in an approachable manner
  • Prepare regular maintenance reports and attend occasional committee meetings with the Manager
  • Respond to after-hours issues or emergencies when required

You should have

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Practical handyman and gardening skills
  • Basic knowledge of building/site management
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to follow procedures
  • Flexibility to handle after-hours call-outs when needed
  • Previous caretaking, building, or facilities management experience is an advantage
