MINPROVISE are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent / Welding Supervisorto join our Remedial Services team on an exciting maintenance project. Offering a family friendly even time roster, attractive hourly rate.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Previous experience and history working in a welding supervisor managing Contractors role for compliance delivery.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required by the client.
  • Ensure that all stakeholders are regularly updated and informed of any potential delays to schedules.
  • Issue Non-Conformances Reports (NCR's) for non-compliance works as required
  • Maintain an industry acceptable standard of competency in welding skill and ability, specifically meet the coding requirements of AS1210 – Boiler Code, AS1228 – Boiler water Tube, AS4041 – Pressure Piping, AS3992 – Welding Certification Code, ASME – Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code.
  • Review fabrication drawings and associated traceability documentation including ITP's, weld maps and weld logs and liaise with workshop leading hands.
  • Complete all QA/QC requirements for Project inclusive of monitoring Quality, completing QA/QC Documentation including weld maps, compiling documentation.
  • Review completed NDT reports and welder proficiency including defective welds and the remediate repair solutions.
  • Complete scope of work packages, manage the onsite team scheduling requirements.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience on constructions sites/workshops and has worked in a supervisory role.
  • Must have Certificate 10 in Welding Supervisors Certificate
  • Recognized Trade Qualification
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand weld procedures as per the various industry recognised welding standards.
  • Current valid drivers' licence
  • Confined Space Entry (within 2 years expiry)
  • Working at Heights (within 2 years expiry)
  • Elevated Work Platform High Risk license
  • A strong commitment to health & safety
  • Computer experience with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Adobe Pro
