Payroll Implementation Specialist

Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Payroll Implementation Specialist, you'll be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end implementation of the new payroll and award interpretation systems, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while training and coordinating stakeholders, managing risks, and delivering a seamless transition.
Implementation & Resource Allocation
- Responsible for managing all phases of the project including defining objectives, setting timelines, and allocating resources
- Coordinate the delivery of the implementation project alongside our Internal, External and global stakeholders
- Oversee data cleansing, migration and validation activities whilst ensuring collaboration and ownership of configuration and testing
- Manage change, training, communication, and post-go-live support to drive adoption
Compliance
- Oversee interpretation of the Enterprise and Collective Agreements as well as relevant Awards and clauses ensuring they are properly captured and paid correctly
- Confirm the detailed system solution and set up the system infrastructure to ensure payroll calculations is error-free alongside vendor
Risk Management
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure accuracy, security, compliance, and operational efficiency
- Ensure adherence to procedures, security measures, and legal requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Provide training to stakeholders and end-users to ensure successful adoption of the software.
Who You'll Work With
As part of the project team, you will report to Payroll Responsible, collaborating with the Payroll Coordinators, Global BT, Country HR Manager, and the Finance team. You will also engage with other internal retail and external stakeholders regularly to ensure compliance, efficiency, and a successful role out.

- At least 3 years in payroll, payroll management or HR solutions
- A strong focus and understanding of software implementation will be highly regarded
- Strong understanding of end to payroll processes across AU and NZ, enterprise and collective agreement and award interpretation and translation to payroll compliance
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
