The role would suit a seasoned Payroll Officer/Senior Officer with a min of 5 + years end to end payroll, who has previously had experience working for a large organisation of
4,000 + employees,

They offer a highly flexible WFH environment - 3 days WFH, flex hour, 35 hour week, and with the potential for extension and or permanency.

NUTS & BOLTS:

  • Provide support to the team, executing the fortnightly pay run, resolving client inquiries, and managing complex payroll transactions, while promoting a high-performing and collaborative team culture.
  • Take ownership of the fortnightly pay run process, including superannuation reporting, terminations and redundancies etc., and apply performance metrics to ensure the delivery of timely, efficient, and accurate payroll services.
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating payroll processes through the use of relevant tools and systems, implementing corrective actions where necessary to improve outcomes.
  • Act as a key escalation point and subject matter expert for resolving complex payroll issues, ensuring compliance and providing accurate guidance to the team and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing payroll processes, systems, and service delivery by leveraging innovative technologies and best practices.
  • Support payroll governance by ensuring proper authorisations and documentation are maintained in line with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of stakeholder engagement strategies to align expectations, improve service satisfaction, and strengthen cross-functional collaboration.
  • Assist in managing reporting and ensuring legislative compliance within the payroll function, maintaining data accuracy across organisational systems and adhering to established standards.
  • Support the Payroll Processing Manager in developing team capabilities by promoting knowledge-building in payroll, critical thinking, and process improvement.

ABOUT YOU:

  • General awesomeness 
  • Min 5 years end to end payroll experience
  • Have experience working for a large organisation with 4,000 + employees
  • Experience with mentoring/developing team members
  • Strong terminations/redundancies experience
  • Solid Payroll tax knowledge
  • Worked with multiple award and EBA
  • Need to have a bit of spark and communicate effectively
