Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our growing team and to be based in Brisbane, Queensland. The BDM will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, with a primary focus on the sale of our full range of workshop repair and overhaul capabilities as well as on site commissioning and maintenance services.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive business growth by focusing on the sale of our pump and compressor service and repair capabilities.
- Build and strengthen relationships with engineering firms, consultants, and end-users to expand our market share for both service and new equipment.
- Collaborate with our internal teams to deliver comprehensive, tailored solutions that meet client needs.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from generating leads to negotiating and closing contracts.
- Pursue opportunities to sell new equipment and packaged solutions, meeting sales targets for both service and new product lines.
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or similar)
- 5+ years' experience in business development or technical sales the industrial or rotating equipment sectors.
- Reasonable technical knowledge of rotating equipment, pumping systems, compressors, and engineered packages. Familiarity with API 610, API 685, and API 675 standards is a strong advantage.
- A strong understanding of the service and repair market for mechanical equipment.
- Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and negotiate technical/commercial solutions.
- Proficiency in the full sales cycle, including lead generation, client relationship management, negotiation, and closing.
- Willingness to travel regularly within QLD.
- Must have the right to work in Australia
- Ability to identify new opportunities and develop effective sales strategies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A natural ability to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.
- A driven individual with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
