Position Summary

Lend your expertise to this great projects team. As the Pre-Contract Manager, Construction HVAC Estimator you'll support the team as well as design and estimate a variety HVAC projects ranging in value from $2,000 - $1M+. This role will involve working as part of the construction team under your line manager to continually improve the quality and responsiveness of our HVAC ‐ Estimating team. By doing so you will demonstrate a sound understanding of our client's brief / requirements in both our D&C and specified target markets. You will be responsible for designing / estimating projects of an array of values and scope by co‐coordinating our suppliers and sub‐contractors in order to achieve our delivery targets. You will be responsible for providing value engineering options to both our internal and external clients and estimating your own designs accordingly.

What will you bring?

  • A mechanical trade or tertiary qualification in HVAC
  • Experience in the HVAC mechanical industry in commercial offices and retail sector
  • Good understanding of tenancy fit out / refurbishment projects
  • Agility in coordinating and delivering multiple high value tenders in our target markets with proven ability in coordinating resources & materials for same
  • Experience in providing detailed tenders and proposals in timely fashion
  • Technical knowledge and resourcefulness in offering design solutions and provide quality advice to ensure our clients requirements are met and exceeded
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills to liaise effectively with internal / external clients
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills that enables you to interact with stakeholders at all levels in varying environments
  • Ability to maintain a clear line of communication between both our internal and external clients and our estimators & project managers
  • Your curiosity and focus on quality constantly seeking opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office
