About the role

This full-time Commercial Estimator role presents a fantastic opportunity to join the team at COMMERCIAL VINYL FLOORING PTY. LTD., located in Moorebank, NSW. As a key member of the estimating team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial construction projects, ensuring the company's success in securing new business.
What you'll be doing
- Evaluate project plans, specifications, and bills of quantities to prepare comprehensive cost estimates
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing information
- Analyse material requirements, labour costs, and project timelines to develop competitive bids
- Collaborate with the project management team to refine estimates and address client inquiries
- Maintain a thorough understanding of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to optimise estimates
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the estimating process and documentation
What we're looking for
- Demonstrated experience as a Commercial Estimator.
- Strong technical skills, with the ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and bills of quantities
- Proficient in cost estimation techniques and the use of relevant software tools
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities to liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- A team-oriented approach and the ability to work collaboratively
