About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Employee Interpreter to provide vital communication support for Deaf and hard of hearing employees across all levels of the department.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering sign language interpreting services for departmental conversations, meetings, training sessions, conferences, interviews, and other events.
  • Interpreting pre-recorded materials, such as lessons and announcements, using video editing tools to ensure accessibility.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to support access rights under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and managing the effective use of the federal Employee Assistance Fund (EAF).
  • Providing strategic guidance and proactive support to school leadership and senior management within Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services.

This role requires a high level of autonomy, professionalism, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace.
