Qualified Mechanic – Full-Time Position (Braeside)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Qualified Mechanic to join our well-established automotive workshop in Braeside. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic and professional environment with a focus on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

About Us

Located in Braeside, our workshop is trusted for reliable, high-quality automotive servicing and repairs. We offer a full range of services including logbook servicing, roadworthy certificates, diagnostics, brakes, suspension, and air conditioning repairs.

We also specialise in the maintenance, repair, and compliance of JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) vehicles. With in-depth knowledge of Japanese imports, we ensure they meet Australian standards and perform at their best.

Backed by a team of qualified mechanics and modern diagnostic tools, we focus on honest advice, efficient turnaround, and consistent service—earning the trust of a growing, loyal customer base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general vehicle servicing and repairs across various makes and models
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
  • Carry out roadworthy inspections and compliance work, including for JDM vehicles
  • Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
  • Deliver high-quality workmanship with attention to safety and manufacturer guidelines
  • Communicate clearly with team members and customers where needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a qualified mechanic
  • Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic tools
  • Experience with JDM vehicles and Japanese imports is highly regarded
  • Valid driver's licence (manual and automatic preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality
