We're looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in Payroll and SAP ECC/ECP to play a key role in a large-scale digital transformation program. This is an opportunity to work end-to-end across a full project lifecycle, helping to shape, deliver, and optimise payroll processes that impact thousands across the education community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear functional and technical specifications.
  • Provide strong functional leadership in Payroll and Finance systems, ensuring alignment between business requirements and SAP ECC/ECP configurations.
  • Support the implementation partner through configuration, testing, and deployment of Payroll modules (ECP) and related integrations.
  • Lead the creation of detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and configuration documentation.
  • Coordinate and support functional and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet both business and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive and support data migration activities, ensuring accurate mapping from legacy payroll systems into SAP.
  • Collaborate with integration teams to define system touchpoints, datasets, and data traceability for a seamless end-to-end solution.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions to capture requirements and design the To-Be state.
  • Analyse and document complex Payroll and Finance processes, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Act as a bridge between business users, technical teams, and vendors, ensuring alignment throughout all phases of the SDLC.
  • Support Change Management and training activities to ensure smooth adoption of the new system.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and continuously look for opportunities to improve system performance and process efficiency.
Key Selection Criteria
  • Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst leading end-to-end SDLC delivery on large Payroll system implementations (SAP ECC/ECP, Oracle, or equivalent).
  • Strong domain expertise across Payroll, Finance, and related business functions, ideally within the education sector or large, complex environments.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP Payroll (ECP) and Finance modules, including configuration support and process optimisation.
  • Deep understanding of cloud-based ERP environments and data migration best practices.
  • Proficiency in process mapping, requirements documentation, and Agile delivery (user stories, backlog management, sprint planning).
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to major business transformation programs, delivering measurable process and system improvements.
