Job Details

The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing (HD&A) is seeking a 
Lead Business Analyst
 to join the 
Digital Strategy and Assurance Branch (DSAB)
 to expedite the design and delivery of upcoming aged care reforms.

The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of business analysts, driving the delivery of work packages to improve targeted business capabilities and digital products that support aged care system reforms.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with Architects, Product Managers, and business owners to define iterative work packages improving business capabilities and digital services.
  • Lead a team of Business Analysts to deliver analysis artefacts to agreed scope, standards, and timeframes.
  • Play a leadership role in multidisciplinary design teams ensuring delivery of artefacts that meet agreed standards.
  • Support all stages of the Release Management Delivery Lifecycle framework from planning through deployment.
  • Establish and maintain strong stakeholder networks across business analysts, architects, product managers, and SES-level business owners.
  • Ensure alignment with 
    human-centred design
     and 
    service design principles
    , embedding user needs in all stages of design and delivery.
  • Develop and provide in-depth knowledge of aged care systems such as:
  • Aged Care Gateway
  • Government Provider Management System (GPMS)
