About the role

Innotech Pty Ltd is seeking a passionate Embedded Software Engineer to become a valued member of our Research and Development team. In this full-time role, you'll provide essential technical development, and project coordination support, reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer. Your duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Designing and implementing embedded software applications and drivers
  • Supporting hardware prototyping and component testing throughout the development cycle
  • Maintaining embedded operating systems and managing source code repositories
  • Conducting research into emerging technologies and developing proof-of-concept solutions
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather requirements and contribute to product specifications

Experience and qualifications

  • Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics or Software Engineering
  • 3+ years of embedded software development experience using C/C++
  • Strong debugging skills and ability to interpret electronic schematics
  • Experience with microcontrollers (e.g., STM32, AM335x), RTOS, Embedded Linux, and version control/build systems
  • Familiarity with scripting (BASH/Python) and using electronics test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
