About the Role:

ElectraGlobe is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Queensland-based team and contribute to the growth of CableHero. In this role, you will work across the full stack to design, build, and scale applications that help electrical professionals work faster and more accurately. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver features that combine engineering precision with exceptional user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain dynamic, responsive web applications using
  • Design, implement, and document scalable RESTful APIs and backend logic using Laravel (PHP).
  • Write and optimize SQL queries and database structures for performance, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Containerize and deploy applications using Docker to ensure consistency across environments.
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of development processes.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a closely related field (required).
  • 5+ years of experience in full-stack development.
  • Strong proficiency with , Laravel (PHP), and SQL.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API development and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with Docker, AWS (ECS, RDS, S3), and agile software delivery practices.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on code quality and maintainability.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills; a team player who thrives in fast-paced environments.
  • Passion for building user-focused software that solves technical challenges.
