What's on offer?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Safety Advisor to join our Infrastructure Services business team based in Eight Mile Plains, QLD.

This role offers fantastic opportunity for a motivated self-starter to make their mark in the civil construction and road maintenance industries.

We're looking for someone with a passion for safety who can provide practical professional advice to our Managers, and site teams.

This position will offering a base salary between $90K to $100K + Superannuation (subject to level of experience).

Your Contribution

• Lead daily pre-starts and deliver engaging toolbox talks.
• Conduct workplace risk assessments, site inspections and inductions.
• Perform safety audits and prepare clear, accurate safety reports.
• Develop and implement safety, environmental and emergency management plans.
• Undertake incident investigations and root cause analysis (ICAM).
• Manage injury cases and facilitate return-to-work programs.
• Support subcontractor management and oversee safety for people and plant onsite.

About You

• Certificate IV (or higher) in Work Health and Safety.
• Demonstrated experience in safety roles within civil construction projects.
• Working knowledge of ICAM or TapRoot.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with WHS software systems.
• Strong communication, written and interpersonal skills.
• Experience implementing behaviour-based safety programs.
• Flexibility to work on DIDO rosters (5/2, 10/4, 2/1) as project needs require.

You take a supportive and proactive approach to safety - coaching and mentoring others to achieve great outcomes.

Adaptable and collaborative, you build strong relationships across all levels and have solid understanding of road maintenance and asphalt operations.
