**About the role**:
Our client is seeking an Automation Tester to join their team on a 3-month contract opportunity (high chances of extensions). The purpose of the Test Analyst is to ensure that testing is embedded into the different processes across the technology management and governance framework. Work with different stakeholders internally and externally to our client to define, plan, manage and report on coordinated testing activities across IT and the enterprise.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Work with key stakeholders to provide consulting and advice with regards to testing strategy, environment, frameworks and management.
- Work with IT developers and project teams to embed testing requirements within the software development life cycle
- Work with IT developers and project teams to build the acceptance criteria
- Identify metrics for testing, defects and service level agreements to be embedded into the project, development, operations and service processes.
- Assist in the development and use of appropriate performance metrics concerning test activities and outcomes
- Review requirements and specifications and defines test conditions. Designs test cases and test scripts under own direction, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording and reporting outcomes. Analyses and reports test activities and results. Identifies and reports issues and risks associated with own work.
- Carry out exploratory testing on projects to cover integration, regression and end to end testing.

**Skills and requirements**:

- Exposure to Jira, Confluence
- Experience working with test automation tools (selenium) and frameworks (.Net C# / Java, JavaScript, python )

**Desirable**:

- Banking / financial services industry experience
- Software Testing training and or certification.
- Quality management training and or certification.
