Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Manage allocated projects through to completion.
  • Ensure margin and profitability targets are met.
  • Liaise directly with clients, builders, architects, site supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers to build strong working relationships.
  • Conduct regular site visits (minimum weekly).
  • Review site documentation/folders on project handover, and organise works, supervisors, and subcontractors.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, motivate, and support project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Responsible for employing or terminating site labour staff where necessary.

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement and enforce company systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure Site Supervisors complete all paperwork correctly (time allocations, productivity records, time sheets, ITPs, toolbox talks, etc.).

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate risks, including safety, compliance, and site security.

Budget and Cost Management:

  • Monitor budgets and expenses, maintaining cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.

Other Compliance:

  • Ensure all site activities comply with relevant building codes and industry standards.
  • Oversee ordering processes, ensuring only required paint and materials are purchased.
  • Monitor paint usage and cost efficiency.
  • Communicate with clients and builders professionally on RFIs, delay notices, and project queries.
  • Confidently interpret and work from finishes schedules, SOWs, drawings, and mark-ups.
  • Carry out additional duties as directed by Senior Management.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction, preferably with painting/rendering/finishing trades.
  • In-depth knowledge of building industry standards and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Highly organised with excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident in both site-based and office-based project management.
  • Construction White Card (mandatory).
