Senior Electrical Estimator

About the role

Are you an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator looking to join a leading company in the electrical manufacturing industry? Based in our modern manufacturing facility, Mayfield is seeking a full-time Senior Electrical Estimator to contribute to the effective delivery of electrical and mechanical estimating and sales services through the professional preparation, competitive pricing and on-time delivery of tenders to maximise the probability of securing profitable switchboard, switchroom and engineered solution contracts.

This role is part of a team that contribute to the delivery of projects for clients in the following industries:

• Renewable Energy
• Infrastructure
• Power Generation & Transmission
• Water & Wastewater
• Mining
• Heavy Industry
• Minerals & Metals Processing
• Oil & Gas

What you'll be doing

• Deliver accurate and timely electrical and mechanical estimating services.
• Ensure a thorough handover of the project to the Construction Team upon contract award by briefing them on the key principles of the tender, guaranteeing a clear understanding and seamless transition into the construction phase.
• Ensure the delivery of successful and profitable tenders.
• Participate and contribute to the effectiveness of the Estimating function and Tender teams.
• Build and maintain productive internal and external relationships to enable the delivery of electrical estimating services.
• Use highly developed organisational skills to plan and schedule work to meet designated timelines and outputs.
• Ensure client satisfaction by clarifying needs to ensure relevance of tenders, including participating in marketing, presentations and negotiations.
• Communicate regularly and confidently with clients and relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and support to other estimators, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.

What we're looking for

• Prior experience in Electrical Trade, Electrical Engineering, or Estimating, or a related trade background is essential.
• Strong LV/ MV Electrical experience with an OEM or EPC is desirable.
• Minimum of 2+ years' experience as an Estimator in a manufacturing/ construction or similar business. Alternatively, a background of 2+ years as an Electrical Engineer in Project related or OEM business.
