The Details:

Our leading facility in Edinburgh is on the hunt for a dynamic Senior Estimator skilled in SMP Construction estimation to take the lead on major structural and piping projects. This is your chance to showcase your expertise in tendering and cost estimation while working alongside a high-performing team of engineers and project professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for SMP projects.
  • Managing end-to-end tender processes, providing support into pre-contract and tender stage.
  • Review project specifications, drawings and technical documents.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers and workshop coordinators to deliver reliable cost forecasts.
  • Ensuring estimates comply with industry standards, client requirements and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Experience:

Success in this role will require the following:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator within SMP construction or related engineering field.
  • Strong knowledge of structural steel and piping fabrication installation and construction.
  • Demonstrated capability in tendering, cost planning and risk assessment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, codes and compliance requirements.
  • High-level computer literacy with estimating software and MS Office.
