Role:

RJE Global is currently seeking a detail-oriented Senior Electrical Draftsperson to join our team. This position offers a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to diverse projects.  As a Senior Electrical Draftsperson, you will play a key role in the development of electrical drawings and documentation critical to project delivery. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and on-site teams to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Being familiar with commonly used electrotechnical symbols, being able to read and interpret schematic diagrams, attention to detail, and high output within tight timeframes.
• Prepare electrical drawings in AutoCAD drafting software, including single line diagrams, electrical schematics, panel layouts, etc;
• Prepare detailed production drawings for manufacturing;
• Demonstrate an understanding of commonly used equipment (protection relays, terminal blocks, ethernet switches, AC and DC distribution, UPS etc);
• Interpret electrical design to ensure panel layouts are aligned to the design intent;
• Prepare panel layout drawings for construction;
• Work to tight project schedules to meet deadlines;
• Providing support to tendering team, manufacturing team and construction team concerning details on drawings released;
• AutoCAD experience essential;
• Experience with additional software packages will also be highly regarded.

Required:

• Minimum 10 years' experience in electrical CAD drafting, for HV, LV, secondary and communications.
• Minimum 8 years' experience with medium-to-large scale infrastructure projects.
• Diploma of Electrical Engineering or A-Grade electrical license advantageous.
• Experience producing "for construction" design in a panel assembly environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of Australian electrical regulations and Australian Standards advantageous.
• Strong proficiency in MS packages.
• Advanced AutoCAD experience essential.
