We're on the lookout for a skilled Terminal Operator with shunting experience to help keep our operations running smoothly at our Tennyson terminal.

About the Role

As a Level 3 Terminal Operator, you'll play a critical role in the coordination, planning, and safe execution of train movements within the terminal.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Efficient assembly and dismantling of trains
  • Operating top lift container forklifts and other load-shifting equipment
  • Processing freight and documentation into a computerised system
  • Conducting train examinations and brake testing
  • Supporting shunting activities as required
  • Adhering to all safe-working and operating procedures

This role operates on a rotating shift roster, including nights and weekends.

What We're Looking For

You're a forward-thinking team player who takes pride in doing things safely and efficiently. You're accountable, reliable, and ready to take on a challenge. To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Heavy Forklift Licence
  • Full Driver's Licence
  • General computer proficiency
  • Experience in train inspection, ground shunt, and trackside safety
  • Shunt driver qualifications (highly regarded)
