Mechanical Assembler

We are currently seeking for mechanical assemblers to join our production team, here in Tennyson.

The position is suitable for a young trainee looking to enter the electronic manufacturing industry, while building world class and high-end technology equipment.

In that role, you will be responsible for:

• Assembly of mechanical and electronic modules
• Assembly and testing of high-volume build to print units for production and prototypes
• Basic testing of circuit functionality
• Use hand and power tools to assemble components according to engineering specifications and assembly instructions
• Follow the EM Solutions Quality & WHS Procedures
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of assembly methods and processes

Core skills and competencies we are looking for:

• Strong mechanically aptitude
• Ability to assemble a wide range of mechanical components
• Aptitude to work in strict accordance with documented methods and processes
• Outstanding fine motor skills and high level of attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable and good work ethic
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Physically fit and able to be on your feet most of the day
• Excellent time management skills

Ideally, you will demonstrate:

• Previous experience in mechanical and/or electronics module assembly
• Ability to read technical instructions and drawings
• Electronic cable manufacturing experience
• IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, MIL-STD-883 or equivalent certification will be highly regarded

Industry training as well PPE equipment and tooling will be provided.
