The Opportunity

We're seeking a CAN-DO Assistant/Accountant who thrives in a dynamic retail environment. You'll work directly with senior management while gaining exposure to every facet of retail financial management - from multi-location P&L analysis to e-commerce reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis (50%)

  • Monthly management accounts with variance analysis across 4 locations

  • Lead 5-day month-end close process
  • P&L performance analysis and e-commerce reconciliation
  • Support budgeting and 13-week cash flow forecasting

Operations & Compliance (35%)

  • Process weekly payroll for 100+ employees (Micropay/SAP B1)
  • Manage credit claims/AP process, BAS, FBT returns, and ATO compliance
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and Fixed Asset register maintenance
  • Timesheet processing and payroll analysis

Audit & Stakeholder Support (15%)

  • Coordinate external audits and prepare documentation
  • Financial reporting to non-finance stakeholders

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • CA or CPA qualification
  • 3+ years corporate accounting experience (retail/FMCG preferred)
  • SAP Business One experience (essential)
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability
  • Experience with Australian tax compliance (GST, FBT, BAS)

Bonus Points: MicrOpay experience, TA100 knowledge, e-commerce background, immediate start.
