About The Role
This is a hands-on
Assistant Accountant
role that will provide broad exposure across financial operations. The successful candidate will work closely with the finance team and management, ensuring accuracy and compliance across day-to-day accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll and payment processing for approximately 20 employees.
  • Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and payments.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Assist with BAS, GST, FBT, and other tax compliance requirements.
  • Support month-end and year-end reporting processes.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and reporting as required.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within financial services or asset management.
  • Strong knowledge of AP, AR, payroll, and bank reconciliation processes.
  • Exposure to BAS and tax compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
