Wholly owned by RAC WA, St Ives has been building and operating retirement villages in WA for over four decades. Currently operating seven Retirement Villages, perfectly situated in some of WA's most sought-after locations, this values driven organisation prides itself on enhancing the retirement living experience for its communities.
The Position:
Reporting to the CEO and as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the General Manager, Operations will lead the effective management of all villages across the St Ives portfolio. This senior leadership position is accountable for village performance, resident satisfaction, compliance with legislation and codes of practice, and the delivery of high-quality services.
Your core responsibilities would be:
- Lead, mentor and develop Village Managers and the Operations team.
 - Drive excellence in operational, financial, and risk management standards..
 - Overseeing capital works, refurbishments, and major maintenance projects.
 - Building and maintaining strong relationships with residents, committees, and key stakeholders.
 - Driving improvements in service quality, operational efficiency, and resident experience.
 - Managing contracts, compliance, and governance requirements across all villages.
 - Playing a proactive role in strategic planning and industry engagement.
 
About You:
St Ives is seeking an experienced senior leader with proven experience in a complex, customer-focused environment such as retirement living, facilities management or hospitality. Additionally, you will bring:
- An empowering leadership style, with the ability to inspire and develop large teams.
 - Demonstrated expertise in operational management, compliance, and risk oversight.
 - Proven ability to manage capital projects, contracts, and commercial agreements.
 - Exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
 - Strong commercial acumen and financial management capability.
 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 - A collaborative, resilient, and outcome-focused leadership style.
 - At least 8 years' relevant management experience in a customer service oriented environment.
 - Relevant tertiary qualifications.
