About the role

The successful candidate will be proactive and have an adaptable attitude with a commercial focus on front end corporate advisory, and/or taxation and property law experience, preferably with 1 to 5 years post qualified experience looking for the opportunity to develop within a boutique practice.

The position will require you to work directly under two partners. You must be able to critically analyse legal matters with a common sense approach. You will be outcome focused by meeting deadlines and proactive in your approach.

Commence early February 2026 with interviews mid - December 2025 with confirmation of role prior to Christmas break.

Tasks and responsibilities

The opportunity exists to work in such diverse areas as:

  • Corporation matters
  • Commercial Disputes resolution and litigation
  • Transactional work
  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • Contracts
  • Strata law (front end)
  • Business sales and purchases
  • Residential and commercial property development

And will be required to:

  • Provide advices across a number of business law areas
  • Draft and review contracts of all kinds
  • Act for both sellers and buyers of businesses
  • Act for and advise property developers in acquisitions
  • Deal with clients directly and assist in developing relationships with those clients
  • Undertake marketing activities with the principal
  • Deal with regulators and government organisations such as ASIC, OSR, OFMA, ATO FIRB and the ACCC.

Essential qualities

  • 1-5 years post admission experience.
  • Proactive, Passionate and results driven
  • Attention to detail, organised and able to deal within a high volume work environment
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Team player and client focused

Highly desirable

The successful candidate will have commercial acumen with the personality and drive to introduce new clients, and manage existing client relationships. They will be passionate about servicing clients and driven by results to meet client expectations within a high volume commercial environment.
