About the company/role

Exciting opportunity for a sharp corporate/commercial lawyer to join a leading
international FinTech
in their high achieving in-house legal team. This exciting in-house role will put you at the centre of high-impact transactional and project work across multiple jurisdictions.

Reporting to a Senior Legal Counsel who is an
outstanding mentor
and
highly regarded and well-respected in this space
, you'll be supported to develop into a well-rounded, commercially astute in-house generalist.

This is a varied generalist role giving you great exposure and, where you will be responsible for a wide range of legal areas including but not limited to:-

  • Lead a wide range of contract reviews and negotiations, applying your sharp legal insight.
  • Offer expert legal guidance on regulatory matters, including financial services, tech contracts, and privacy law.
  • Covering the Corporations Act, ASIC regulations, privacy laws.
  • Product launches, M&A, IP, licensing, and marketing
    ,
    taking ownership of large projects, (some akin to M&A).
  • Help manage legal disclosures and key documentation across APAC.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Compliance, HR, Marketing, and Disputes to deliver legal solutions that support business success.
  • Share knowledge and coordinate with legal teams across the globe to ensure smooth execution of projects and transactions, be involved in global legal team meetings.
  • Shape and refine policies and procedures with your legal input, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.

Skills & experience

As the successful candidate you will have circa 3-5 years PQE in corporate/commercial law, which may be gained from a leading firm or in-house team.

Your ability to navigate complex issues and deliver practical, business-savvy legal advice will make you a trusted partner to the broader team. Your work will directly influence strategic business outcomes across the region.
