We are seeking an experienced, friendly and motivated Payroll & Compliance Officer to join our passionate and close-knit team where your skills make a real impact. If you are reliable, enthusiastic and enjoy taking ownership of your work as well as being part of a team that values care, accuracy, and responsiveness this role is for you.

In this part-time position (3 days per week), you'll work closely with both the HR and Finance teams—two supportive, friendly groups who are committed to excellence and collaboration. The role is ideal for someone who thrives on doing things properly and has a natural drive to support those around them.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly and fortnightly payroll across multiple states using MicrOpay

  • Assisting with month-end reporting, reconciliations and payroll tax

  • Interpreting differing EBA's and Awards

  • Setting up new starters within the payroll system, as well terminations

  • Coordinate all aspects of Workcover administration – from lodgement to reconciliations

  • Provide day-to-day support to both HR and Finance teams on payroll, employee records, reporting, and compliance

  • Assist with employee queries, fleet documentation, and system access support (ConnX)

What You Bring:

  • Solid experience in payroll processing, with a focus on detail and accuracy

  • Strong Excel skills and confidence managing data and reporting

  • Prior experience working with EBA's & Awards

  • Comfortable navigating legislative and compliance requirements

  • A warm and reliable presence – you're known for being responsive, dependable, and easy to work with

  • A natural sense of ownership and pride in seeing tasks through to a high standard
