We are seeking a
Senior Manager – Technical Services
to lead our National Technical Service team and ensure full compliance with government and regulatory requirements and excellence in delivering our Service Campaigns and Technical Reporting.
About the Role:
As the Senior Manager – Technical Services, you will lead a team of Supervisors and Technical Experts to develop, deploy, and monitor Mazda Australia's Technical Service activities, including Recalls, Service Campaigns, and Rework initiatives. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards while driving continuous improvement in campaign performance. You and your team are the conduit between field issues and technical reporting to Mazda's Head Office.
This role requires in-office presence
five days
a week, fostering a collaborative work environment and promoting effective teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of all Technical Service Campaigns ensuring compliance with Mazda Australia, government, and industry regulations.
- Oversee the Motor Vehicle Service and Repair Information Sharing Scheme (MVIS) compliance and other legislative requirements.
- Develop strategies to enhance campaign effectiveness and technical repair communication to dealers and internal teams.
- Liaise and negotiate with Mazda Corporation and external stakeholders to secure support for campaign activities.
- Monitor vehicle issue reports and guide timely resolutions.
- Manage market readiness for vehicle launches and lifecycle support, aligning resources with departmental KPIs.
- Provide expert advice and performance updates to Executive Leadership on campaign progress and escalated matters.
About You:
- You hold a bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Engineering.
- You bring 10+ years' experience in automotive OEM environments with at least 5 years managing teams.
- You have strong knowledge of Australian automotive legislation and industry standards.
- Your communication skills are excellent, with experience in report writing and stakeholder engagement.
- You excel at problem-solving, negotiation, and analytical thinking, with keen attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
