Wellness Department is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Market Research Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive market research within the local community to determine the most effective strategies and offerings for our gym. Your findings will play a crucial role in shaping our gym's services, programs, and marketing efforts to meet the needs and preferences of our target audience.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct Outreach Activities:

  • Engage with the local community to gather insights and feedback through surveys and interviews.
  • Engage with the local community to foster brand awareness and gather market data.

2. Perform Local Community Research:

  • Conduct thorough research to identify demographic trends, fitness preferences, and market opportunities in the area.
  • Analyse competitor offerings, pricing strategies, and market gaps to inform decision-making and develop a competitive advantage.

3. Consult with Prospects:

  • Communicate with prospects both over the phone and in-person to understand their fitness goals, preferences, and expectations.
  • Provide personalised recommendations and solutions based on the gym's offerings and market research insights.

4. Execute Marketing and Retention Strategies:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement new and existing marketing strategies based on market research findings.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of retention strategies to enhance member satisfaction and loyalty.

Qualifications:

  • Strong passion for fitness and wellness, with a genuine desire to inspire and motivate others.
  • Outgoing personality and excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage with the local community.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, while also being a team player.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to actively listen, empathise, and understand the needs and preferences of potential gym members.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a drive to achieve targets and contribute to the success of the gym.
  • Proficient in conducting market research, analysing data, and presenting actionable recommendations.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work flexible hours, including weekends, mornings, and evenings until 9pm.
  • Familiarity with fitness industry trends and competitive landscape is a plus.
