The Suhner Group is proud to be at the forefront of the metal finishing and processing industry globally, providing solutions including speciality tools, cutting, grinding and polishing consumables and robotics.
We are seeking a motivated Sales Engineer to join the Australian team. In this role, you will combine technical knowledge with sales acumen to identify opportunities, provide solutions and support customers across your territory/customer base.
You will work closely with a dedicated team of Sales Engineers, Sales Administration and Warehousing to deliver Suhner' s market leading tools, components and automated systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve all sales and margin goals set.
- Sustainable development of existing customer relationships.
- Planning and execution of customer visits focused on A, B and High Potential customers/prospects to ensure continued sales and margin development.
- Identification of potential customers by market observation, research, and acquisition.
- Product demonstration in line with agreed targets set out in KPIs.
- Follow-up and maintain customer quotes.
- Maintenance of customer pricing in line with agreed strategy
About You:
- A self-motivated individual who wants to drive continuous improvement and performance.
- Has the maturity and skills to communicate, document and affect any process/procedural changes required.
- Has a team-orientated mindset, with the ability to collaborate across departments and regions.
- Has strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships
- Has high attention to detail, with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Has a proactive work ethic with a commitment to follow up on inquiries until a satisfactory solution is achieved.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook PowerPoint)
- Results driven.
- Professional appearance.
- Proactive, hands-on approach.
- Good understanding of complex requirements
Essential Criteria
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be Australian citizen and/or right to work in Australia
- Must be willing to travel, both locally and internationally as required.
- 3-5 years in similar sales roll.
- Must understand the Needs Satisfaction Selling Process (PSS)
