About us
Founded in 1987 by people with quadriplegia, AQA began with a mission to improve access to information, support, and employment for people with spinal cord injuries. Today, we continue to provide tailored support to people living with SCI and other physical disabilities.
About the role
Make a difference by supporting a client in Kialla to maintain independence, wellbeing, and active community participation.
- Provide personal care and daily living support with dignity and respect
- Assist with community access activities, including transport to appointments and outings
- Support the client to attend hydrotherapy sessions (must be confident entering the pool)
- Help with dressing, undressing, and mobility, ensuring comfort and safety
- Follow individual care plans and promote client choice, independence, and wellbeing
About you
- Hold a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Aged Care (or equivalent experience)
- Confident in the water and comfortable providing hands-on assistance in a hydrotherapy setting
- Patient, empathetic, and an excellent communicator
- Hold a Driver's License and have access to an accessible vehicle suitable for client transport
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work Monday and Wednesday 2–6pm, with occasional additional shifts
- Experience assisting clients with Dysphasia would be advantageous
