The Opportunity:
- Casual Appointment.
- Teaching $ $94.47 | Non-Teaching $ $64.18 p/h + 12% super (dependent on qualifications and experience).
- Based at the Waverley campus (on-site parking available), this role also includes travel to various locations.
Holmesglen's Vocational Education Department is seeking two qualified and experienced assessors to support students undertaking the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
This role involves conducting assessment sessions for students completing module-based presentation assessments over a 12-month program. Assessment sessions occur on-campus Monday to Friday and may include one full day per week or two evening sessions per week, depending on cohort size and assessment scheduling.
Engagements are casual and scheduled based on departmental requirements and assessor availability.
As an Assessor, you will:
- Conduct student assessment visits at approved early childhood and childcare centres.
- Observe, evaluate, and record students' performance against competency requirements.
- Provide constructive feedback to support student learning and professional growth.
- Maintain accurate assessment documentation in line with Holmesglen and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure assessment integrity and student success.
To be successful, you'll have:
Relevant industry experience and the ability to demonstrate currency in vocational workplace competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed.
Strong communication, organisation, and time management skills, with the ability to tailor assessments to meet individual student needs.
- TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training/TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or TAE50211 Diploma of Training, Design and Development/TAE50216 Diploma of Training, Design and Development or its successor; and
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent predecessor or successor qualification.
A valid driver's licence to travel to placement and assessment locations.
WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining an 'employee' Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
