The Opportunity:

  • Casual Appointment.
  • Teaching $ $94.47 | Non-Teaching $ $64.18 p/h + 12% super (dependent on qualifications and experience).
  • Based at the Waverley campus (on-site parking available), this role also includes travel to various locations.

Holmesglen's Education Department is seeking qualified and experienced assessors to support students undertaking the CHC40221 Certificate IV in School-Based Education Support.

This role involves conducting assessment visits for students completing their practical placements across primary, secondary and special schools Assessment visits occur between Monday and Friday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, depending on the availability of both the assessor and placement sites during school terms.

Engagements are casual and scheduled based on departmental needs and assessor availability.

As an Assessor, you will:

  • Conduct student assessment visits at approved schools and educational centres.
  • Observe, evaluate, and record students' performance against competency requirements.
  • Provide constructive feedback to support student learning and professional growth.
  • Maintain accurate assessment documentation in line with Holmesglen and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure assessment integrity and student success.

To be successful, you'll have:

  • Relevant industry experience and the ability to demonstrate currency in vocational workplace competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed.

  • Strong communication, organisation, and time management skills, with the ability to tailor assessments to meet individual student needs.

  • CHC40221 Certificate IV in School-Based Education Support (or higher qualification in Education Support or Teaching).
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent predecessor or successor qualification.
  • A valid driver's licence to travel to placement and assessment locations.
  • WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining an 'employee' Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
