The Opportunity:
- Full-Time 1.0 EFT | Ongoing contract of employment.
- Teacher Level 1-3 | $85,644 - $121,462 per annum pro rata + 12% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience).
- Waverley Campus – onsite parking.

This is a hands-on and rewarding role where you'll design and deliver training that inspires, using a variety of innovative teaching and assessment methods tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students. You'll also take the lead in developing learning resources and assessment tools that support excellence in delivery. By building strong connections with industry and key stakeholders, you'll ensure our programs remain relevant and impactful.
As a Teacher – Culinary you will:
- Design and deliver engaging, industry-relevant training that meets the diverse needs of learners, supported by high-quality resources and innovative teaching strategies that inspire students to excel in the culinary industry.
- Create inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environments for learners in both classroom and practical settings.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and outcomes in line with compliance and audit requirements.
- Support validation, moderation, and continuous improvement of training materials and assessment tools.
- Stay current with hospitality industry practices through professional development, licensing, and regular engagement with industry to enhance teaching and student learning outcomes.
To be successful, you'll have:
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE 40122 or equivalent predecessor or successor qualifications; and
An approved degree, diploma or certificate in a relevant vocational area, or approved equivalent qualifications, at least to the level being delivered and assessed. A minimum of SIT30821 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery. Qualifications such as SIT31021 Certificate III in Patisserie and SIT40521 Certificate IV in Kitchen Management are desirable.
Experience delivering high-quality culinary training and assessments, with the ability to adapt resources and delivery to diverse learner needs.
Ability to foster an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment that promotes student independence and success.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to engage students, colleagues, and industry stakeholders.
Proficient in record-keeping and digital systems to ensure compliance in culinary education.

- WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining an 'employee' Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
