Your Role
Take on a creative role where you'll be the Army Reserve's Imagery Specialist; capturing and delivering a wide variety of communication material.
What You'll Do:
- taking professional quality photos and videos of ADF operations, training exercises, international engagement and other activities
- quickly processing and uploading your imagery so it can be supplied to meet news media deadlines
- editing short and engaging videos for social media platforms
- providing ADF members and military personnel from other countries with photography and videography training
- providing advice to Public Affairs Officers and commanders about opportunities and requirements for capturing newsworthy imagery.

Boost your Income
The pay you receive in the Army Reserve goes straight into your pocket with no deductions for tax, and it increases as you gain seniority and experience.
On completion of your initial military and employment training, you could earn a package worth at least $249/day tax-free.
Additional amounts are paid for time spent on exercises and deployments.
Location
You will train for 3 weeks in Wagga Wagga, NSW. Following your training, you will be posted to an Army unit close to where you live.
Eligibility:
For this role, you must:
- Be at least 17 at the time of enlistment, an Australian Citizen, and have completed an Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Mathematics

Keeping fit is a big part of joining the ADF. You'll need to pass a physical fitness test before you join, but don't worry, we'll give you tips to help you prepare - Be able to successfully obtain a security clearance
- Have a Certificate IV in photography, equivalent or higher qualifications or relevant industry experience.
