Primary objective
Provide coordinated education programs, sound clinical and education advice, and may provide direct clinical care for complex client
presentations within the specialty area.
Context statement
This role provides expert leadership in nursing education across the Medical Imaging Department at RDPH, underpinned by strong clinical
expertise to apply best practice across Medical Imaging care settings. It requires recent hands-on clinical teaching experience, with
demonstrated ability to identify knowledge/practice gaps. Assessor and CVAD certification are essential to support clinical skill
development, mentor staff, and build capability within this specialised environment. The position also requires flexibility to work across
RDPH campuses and will act as delegate for the NUM therefore strong leadership and management skills will be highly regarded.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide specialist education advice and support professional development activities within a defined area of practice.
2. Provide direct support, instruction, and feedback, including mentoring students, graduates, and less experienced staff, across the
multidisciplinary team.

order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.

Selection criteria
Essential
1. Current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligible for same.
2. Demonstrated highly developed clinical knowledge, skills, and experience in a relevant area of nursing/midwifery.
- Demonstrated education/training or experience in the development and/or delivery of education theory and practice.
 - Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate clinical education and professional development for the specialist
 
practice area.
5. Demonstrated use of effective communication skills to maximise productive working relationships with internal and external
stakeholders and facilitate a positive learning environment.
- Demonstrates well-developed knowledge and understanding of the social and cultural issues, influences and sensitivities that influence
 
health care provision for individuals and groups.

1. Graduate Certificate beyond entry-to-practice relevant to specialty area.
