Madame Wu has recently reopened with a fresh look, renewed energy, and a sharp focus – and we're rebuilding the team to match. If you're a chef or apprentice ready to be part of our return to the top, we want to hear from you.

Madame Wu is a proven popular, busy restaurant at Eagle Street Pier and we pride ourselves on utilising only the best quality produce and boutique suppliers to dictate our menu, based around East Asian cuisine that is well suited to the Queensland environment.

To be considered for these exciting positions, you must possess the following:

  • Trade qualifications
  • Excellent technical knowledge with experience in all cooking techniques and styles
  • Experience leading staff during service
  • Ability to maintain high and consistent standards
  • Excellent organisational skills & grooming standards
  • Understanding of and the ability to maintain food safety standards and HACCP
  • Your CV must have professional referees with both email and updated telephone numbers included
  • Flexible availability of a 7 day/night roster
  • At least 3 years of relevant employment experience

We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a natural talent for cooking and passion to serve modern fine dining food in a casual environment. A background in a similar environment would be beneficial, but not necessary.

Working under our head chef, we're looking for a driven individuals, who thrive under pressure. The ideal applicants will be self-motivated, responsible and have exceptionally high standards in everything they do. We are looking for candidates who are self- starters with initiative.
