We are seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join our dynamic team as an Apprentice Chef.

This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who is passionate about building a successful career in commercial cookery.

The successful candidate will work full-time, 38 hours per week, while studying a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, they will be a qualified Chef.

The total apprenticeship term is three years.

The selected candidate will be placed with one of our host employers, where they will work alongside experienced chefs to learn the skills and techniques required to become a qualified commercial cook.

Aim to achieve:

  • Assist with the preparation and cooking of high-quality meals for customers.
  • Learn how to manage the kitchen, including stock control, ordering, and food preparation schedules.
  • Adhere to all health and safety standards, including food hygiene and sanitation.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standard.

  • Demonstrate a great attitude and willingness to work.
  • Motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to demonstrate initiative.
  • Well-presented.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

Please note, applicants must be an Australian citizen, Permanent resident, or hold a valid visa that allows them to work and undertake training in Australia.

Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

Shift: Shift work

Licence/Certification: Driver Licence (preferred)
